Christmas Tea with a friend

If you had a friend visiting, how would you set your table?

I love my red china.  It makes for such a festive table any time of the year.

Come, sit a spell, and enjoy a cup of tea with me.

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.  ~Henry James

What a beautiful table you've created! It looks like a very fashionable tea house, and I'd love to come and sit with you and enjoy a cup of tea.

So pretty! I, too, love red and white china ... have been trying to piece together a small 4-place setting set using Spode archive plates ... but I can't find tea cups and salad plates for the line ... drat!

Your tea party is just stunning!

A pretty table to welcome a friend. You can't go wrong with red transferware, it adds a certain elegance to the table.
Merry Christmas.

You sound like a kindred spirit -- quilting, fabric collecting fabric, teacups and sewing machines. Me too!

What a delightful tea! Just perfect for the season! My husband and I are going to have some quiet time this week and you've inspired me to set up a cozy tea for the two of us! What a lovely post!

I really like that teapot. Teapots, red, what's not to like???? Hope your Christmas was great, mine was. Trying to get caught up now that everyone is gone. Loving my new book, too. Thanks!
